Crankworx – The name sounds as original as the event itself. Come to Winter Park for a long weekend after the 4th of July for a 3-day event filled with frontflips, no handed can and superseaters in an event that will also include a cross-country race, downhill event modeled after the notorious Air Downhill, a Super D, Big Air and a slopestyle course designed by John Cowan.

The Crankworx event comes to us from Whistler Resort in Canada. It’s inception four years ago under the name of Kokanee Crankworx, it has become one of the most ground-breaking mountain bike festivals in the history. The action packed days in Winter Park will feature some of the sport’s most fearless athletes – Basagoitia, Zink, Strait and Lacondeguy.

There will be $30,000 in prize money awarded – so competition will be stiff! Daily spectator events include an outdoor expo, pro riding demos, free music and entertainment. All events are free and open to the public (spectator lift access requires the purchase of a day pass) designated hiking routes will be set to the event course.

July 5: Super downhill, slopestyle qualification

July 6: Downhill, big air, apres party
